Business Collective recently asked nine sales video experts, including myself, how to make videos that stand out. My tip? Make sure you actually teach your customers. Tell them everything—give it all away. The reality is that the vast majority of people aren’t going to be up for doing the hard work. They’re asking you because they recognize you as a leader in your field. If you teach them, they’re not going to become a threat to you, but they will see you as a thought leader.
There are some other great tips to follow, too! For example, be playful yet trustworthy. You should have your brand’s voice established, and make sure you follow it with every video. That helps build your reputation and establishes your company as a go-to resource.
Ask a question to get the ball rolling, and don’t be afraid to get up close and personal with your viewers. That’s what they really want. However, keep in mind that your viewers won’t always have (or be able to use) their audio. Your video should work on its own, with or without audio.
